Competition

Our Meon Stars came 4^th.  The team was Laura Bleecker on Sumnernights Dream with a score of 62.1% and Sarah Pook on the McGibbon’s Tiptoe All Said ’N’ Done (taking the place of Rachel Chubb and The Bobby Dazzler as the latter had a sore mouth).  ‘Hobnob’, as he is known, was a star for Sarah coming 2^nd with a score of 66.7% – these two did the Prelim 18 test.  Sarah has qualified for the Championships as the highest placed rider not in a qualifying team in her arena.  Our novice test (N30) riders were Gen Lodge on Bambajazz with a score of 57% and Briony Stevens on Double H with a score of 68.3%.  All four riders went clear show jumping, except a few time faults for Briony.

Our Meon Diamonds were not placed but all went well gaining over 57% with a few unlucky poles from a couple of riders.  The team was Debbie Dean on Cill Chonail, Dan Searle on Shady Oaks Elizabeth (Prelim 18), Sarah Pook on Top Pride and Nicci Desty on Pauldary’s Lady Ga Ga (Novice 30).

Going as individuals,  Elsbeth Jeffery on My Peggys Diamond  came 3rd in the novice with 66.6% and clear show jumping.  Gen Lodge on April’s Galance came 3^rd in the prelim.  Dan Searle on Rebellion scored 60.6% in the novice with a couple of poles down..

Our Chef d’Equipe and organiser was Rachel Chubb who reported the above and added ‘Good day had by all and well done to everyone’.  Sarah Pook added that Meon members seemed to be everywhere and there was great team spirit.
